Technical Requirements for FM Synchronous Broadcasting as part of Technical Requirements for Broadcasting Systems (Inquiry No. 2023)

The Broadcasting System Subcommittee (Chief investigator: Makoto Itami Professor, Tokyo University of Science) under the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council has been studying technical requirements for FM synchronous broadcasting as part of technical requirements for broadcasting systems (Inquiry No. 2023) since Thursday, June 13, 2019.
Recently, the Broadcasting System Subcommittee has drafted its report, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has decided to make an appeal for opinions from Wednesday, December 25 through Friday, January 31, 2020, on the draft report.

Draft report of the Broadcasting System Subcommittee under the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council (see the PDF link).

2. Overview

The Broadcasting System Subcommittee under the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council has been studying technical requirements for FM synchronous broadcasting as part of technical requirements for broadcasting systems (Inquiry No. 2023) since June 2019. The drafted report summarizes the results of the surveys and examinations so far.

3. Submission deadline

No later than 5 PM on Friday, January 31, 2020 (Opinions, if submitted by mail, must arrive no later than the same day.)

4. Future plan

A final report will be compiled based on the results of the appeal for opinions.
