February 28, 2019 Public Appeal for FY2019 Radio Wave COE R&D Programme under SCOPE

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) hereby announces that it will make a public appeal for a Center of Excellence (COE) research and development (R&D) programme of radio waves starting in fiscal 2019 under Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme (SCOPE), a project to grant competitive funds for R&D in the field of information and communications technology.
MIC has decided to make this public appeal before the fiscal 2019 budget bill passes through the Diet so that this project can be started promptly after the budget bill passes through the Diet. Therefore, it should be kept in mind that the implementation of the project is subject to change according to the passage of the budget bill.
