March 4, 2019 Results of Multilingual Speech Translation Contest of PoC Products

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT, headed by Dr. Hideyuki Tokuda, President) jointly made an appeal for new ideas and proofs of concepts (PoC) to hold a multilingual speech translation contest that would contribute to the elimination of the world’s language barrier with the aim of encouraging more people to use multilingual speech translation technology and accelerate the social implementation of the technology. Recently, MIC and NICT held a PoC contest and decided to open the results of the contest to the public.
