Partial Report from the Information and Communications Council
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has today received a partial report from the Information and Communications Council (Chaired by Takeshi Uchiyamada, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Toyota Motor Corporation). The report, which specifies some of the technical requirements for radio stations (field pick-up units (FPUs)) to provide ultra-high definition TV broadcasts in the 1.2 GHz and 2.3 GHz bands within the scope of technical requirements for the upgrading of radio stations for broadcasting business, was issued in partial response to inquiry number 2024 of September 28, 2006 about technical requirements for broadcasting systems.
