June 26, 2019 Completion of Developing Main Complementary FM Relay Stations of All Commercial AM Radio Broadcasters by the End of This Fiscal Year

Since 2014, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has been promoting the development of complementary FM relay stations for fringe areas and disaster countermeasures. In this connection, MIC hereby announces that all commercial AM radio broadcasters (47 broadcasters) will complete their main complementary FM relay stations to complement their AM radio broadcasting by the end of this fiscal year.
