August 8, 2019 Launching of Smart City Public-Private Partnership Platform

Smart City Initiatives Accelerated by 471 Organizations

The Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has established a Smart City Public-Private Partnership Platform on the basis of the Integrated Innovation Strategy 2019, which was decided by the Cabinet in June this year.
In the future, the public and private sectors will work together and actively promote projects related to smart cities throughout Japan based on this platform, which consists of a total of 471 organizations, including companies, universities, research institutes, local governments, and relevant ministries.
