September 6, 2019 Start of FY2019 5G Comprehensive Demonstration Test (Updated)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has been conducting comprehensive demonstration tests on the Fifth Generation Mobile Communications System (5G comprehensive demonstration tests) since fiscal 2017 with the participation of stakeholders in various fields for the creation of a new market with the realization of the 5G.
On August 16, MIC announced the content of a 5G comprehensive demonstration test (except for items related to multiple simultaneous connections that have been previously announced) for the current fiscal year. In this connection, MIC hereby announces that it has recently decided on the contents related to multiple simultaneous connections.
