Technical Requirements for Bidirectionality of Radio Transmission Systems on 23 GHz Band

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made an appeal for opinions from Wednesday, November 13 through Friday, December 13, 2019, for partial revisions to the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act for institutional development to introduce the bidirectionality of radio transmission systems on the 23 GHz band.
In this connection, MIC consulted the Radio Regulatory Council about a drafted notice that partially revises the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment and the Frequency Assignment Plan, and received today a report stating its approval as drafted.
With consideration of the opinions submitted and the report from the Radio Regulatory Council, MIC will make institutional development promptly.

1. Result of appeal for opinions

MIC made an appeal for opinions from Wednesday, November 13 through Friday, December 13, 2019, for partial revisions to the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act for institutional development to introduce the bidirectionality of radio transmission systems on the 23 GHz band and received one opinion.

2. Report from Radio Control Council

With consideration of the result of the appeal for opinions, MIC consulted the Radio Regulatory Council today about a drafted notice that partially revises the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment and the Frequency Assignment Plan, and received by return a report stating its approval as drafted.

3. Future plans

MIC will make institutional development promptly based on the report from the Radio Regulatory Council.
