Telework to change work styles

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is promoting measures, including seminars to support the introduction of telework, a flexible work style that can effectively use time and places using ICT.
In this connection, MIC has decided to hold a seminar for entrepreneurs.

1. Overview

MIC holds seminars nationwide for companies and organizations considering the introduction of telework to explain trends in general telework, information and communications technology, labor-management points to be kept in mind, and examples of companies that have introduced telework (This year, the seminar will be held at 12 locations nationwide (http://teleworkkakudai.jp/seminar/).
Telework has many benefits for employees, including the securement of a work-life balance. Furthermore, it is one of the management strategies that promote the introduction of telework to contribute to improving productivity and securing excellent human resources in companies.
The purpose of this seminar is to give business executives the realization that the introduction of telework is useful in solving all management issues. At the seminar, MIC will introduce the role of management in promoting the introduction of telework and the introduction process and the business effects of introducing telework, including specific examples, and also provide a panel discussion by speakers.
