January 27, 2020 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Ministerial Ordinance, Etc. for Partial Revisions to Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made an appeal for opinions from Saturday, November 9 through Monday, December 9, 2019, on a draft ministerial ordinance, etc. for partial revisions to the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act. As a result, 33 opinions were submitted. Accordingly, MIC has decided to open the submitted opinions to the public and MIC’s views on the opinions.

1. Outline of the revision

With the introduction of local 5G services and private BWA access services, MIC decided to make necessary revisions to the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act (MPT Ordinance No. 25 of 1985).

2. Result of appeal for opinions

MIC made an appeal for opinions from Saturday, November 9 through Monday, December 9, on a draft ministerial ordinance, etc., for the partial revision of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act and pertinent conditions, received 33 opinions.

3. Promulgation of MIC ordinance

MIC has today promulgated the ordinance, etc.
