October 6, 2020 Opinion Exchange Meeting of TAKEDA Ryota, Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, and Mobile Phone Users
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold an opinion exchange meeting with mobile phone users for the future policymaking of mobile phone charges and services.
In addition to communication in daily life, mobile phones have become an indispensable daily necessity as they are an indispensable means of communication in sudden illness or disaster. On the other hand, mobile phone charges, mainly for large-capacity plans, in Japan are expensive compared to those in other countries.
The MIC is working on realizing inexpensive, easy-to-understand, and convincing rates and services by creating a fair, competitive environment among mobile phone carriers. This meeting aims to frankly exchange opinions with mobile phone users on mobile phone charges and services and use them for MIC’s future policymaking.
