October 30, 2020 Announcement of Top Hundred Telework Pioneers and Awards of Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has been recognizing enterprises and organizations advancing the introduction and utilization of teleworking as telework pioneers and selecting and announcing companies with sufficient achievements as the top hundred telework pioneers annually among them since fiscal 2015. Besides, MIC established the Awards of the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications in fiscal 2016 to be given to excellent pioneers among the top hundred telework pioneers every year.
Recently, MIC selected telework pioneers, the top hundred telework pioneers, and the recipients of the Awards of the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications for fiscal 2020.

1. Overview

To promote the spread of telework, MIC has been announcing companies and organizations promoting the introduction and utilization of telework as telework pioneers and the top hundred telework pioneers since fiscal 2015.
Besides, MIC established the Awards of the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications in fiscal 2016 to be given to excellent pioneers among the top hundred telework pioneers every year.

2. Examination results of telework pioneers and top hundred telework pioneers

MIC holds an examination committee consisting of external experts. Considering the results of the examination committee, MIC decides and announces two new groups as telework pioneers and 60 groups as the top hundred telework pioneers.
Companies and other organizations recognized as the top hundred telework pioneers can use the following logo.

3. Screening result of top one hundred telework pioneers and Awards of Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications

According to the examination results, among the top one hundred telework pioneers selected, MIC selected the following five companies as the recipients of the Awards of the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.

• Caster Co., Ltd.
• Ezaki Glico Co., Ltd.
• Fujitsu Limited
• Yao Toyo Juki Co., Ltd.
• Zurich Insurance Company Ltd.

4. Awards ceremony

MIC will hold an award ceremony during the telework event entitled Working Style Change scheduled to be held on November 30, 2020. The Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications will give a certificate of commendation to each winner of the Award of the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications. MIC will sponsor this event jointly with the MHLW, METI, and MLIT, and at the same time, the award ceremony of the Shining Telework Awards of the Minister for Health, Labor and Welfare will take place.
