February 21, 2020 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report of Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: Makoto Ando, Executive Director of National Institute of Technology), Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council, drafted a report on technical requirements for wireless power transmission systems of spatial transmission type on the premises as part of technical requirements for wireless power transmission systems of spatial transmission type. Accordingly, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make an appeal for opinions on the draft from Saturday, February 22 through Monday, March 23, 2020.

2. Overview

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee, Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council has been studying technical requirements for wireless power transmission systems of spatial transmission type on the premises as part of technical requirements for wireless power transmission systems of spatial transmission type (Inquiry No. 2043 of December 12, 2018) since January 2019. The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee has recently compiled the results of the study as a draft report, and MIC has decided to make an appeal for opinions on the draft from Saturday, February 22 through Monday, March 23, 2020.

3. Submission deadline

From Saturday, February 22, and no later than Monday, March 23, 2020 (Opinions, if submitted by mail, must arrive no later than the same day.)

4. Future plans

A final report will be completed with consideration of the results of the appeal for opinions.
