March 3, 2020 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Ministerial Ordinance for Partial Revision of Rules for Enforcement of Act on Identification, etc. by Mobile Voice Communications Carriers of their Subscribers, etc. and for Prevention of Improper Use of Mobile Voice Communications Services

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make an appeal for opinions from Saturday, January 11 through Monday, February 10, 2010, on a drafted ministerial ordinance for the partial revision of the Rules for Enforcement of Act on Identification, etc. by Mobile Voice Communications Carriers of their Subscribers, etc. and for Prevention of Improper Use of Mobile Voice Communications Services (MIC Ordinance No. 167 of 2005).

1. Background

MIC drafted the ministerial ordinance for the partial revision of the Rules for Enforcement of Act on Identification, etc. by Mobile Voice Communications Carriers of their Subscribers, etc. and for Prevention of Improper Use of Mobile Voice Communications Services and made an appeal for opinions from Saturday, January 11 through Monday, February 10, 2010.

2. Results of appeal for opinions

MIC made an appeal for opinions and received three opinions. The submitted opinions and MIC’s view on the opinions will be posted on the press release page of MIC’s website (https://www.soumu.go.jp) by around 2 pm today (Tuesday, March 3) as well as the public comment page of the e-Gov (https://www.e-gov.go.jp/ Open a new window).

3. Future plans

With consideration of the results of submitted opinions, MIC will promptly establish the ministerial ordinance.
