March 11, 2020 Result of Public Appeal for Executing Agencies for Innovation Program

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has selected executing agencies for an innovation program as a result of an external evaluation.

MIC made a public appeal from Thursday, January 22 through Tuesday, February 25, 2020, for executing agencies for the innovation program. This program finds and nurtures those who can discover unknown issues (which artificial intelligence cannot imagine) rather than find known correct answers and work with curiosity to create new things in places where nothing exists with the power to open up the future. The program also provides support to the worldwide dissemination of the buds of disruptive innovation originating in Japan created through challenges.

MIC has selected executing agencies with consideration of the contents of the applications evaluated by external professionals and experts.
