March 12, 2020 Distribution of Information on Telework-related Measures against New Coronavirus Infection

In order to promote the introduction of telework, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) have been collecting and distributing information on measures against new coronavirus infection. They have also been collecting and disseminating information on support activities implemented by companies related to information and communications.

Telework is an effective means of preventing the spread of infectious diseases in workplaces.
MIC, MHLW, METI, and MLIT have been developing various measures to promote the introduction of telework. In the meantime, the Second Novel Coronavirus Disease Emergency Response Package (issued by the New Coronavirus Infectious Disease Control Headquarters on March 10, 2020) promotes telework actively to establish a new working style model. With consideration of this policy, MIC, MHLW, METI, and MLIT will collect and provide information on the telework-related measures of each ministry as well as information on support activities implemented by companies related to information and communications for promoting the introduction of telework.
