March 13, 2020 Request to Digital Signage Related Industrial Organizations to Distribute Information on Novel Coronavirus Infection

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has today requested industrial associations related to digital signage (the Digital Signage Consortium and Japan PublicViewing Association) to distribute a PR video created by the Office of Public Relations under the Minister’s Secretariat of the Cabinet Office on novel coronavirus infection.

At present, the government is making various efforts to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus infection. From the perspective of reducing the risk of people’s infection, the government provides a variety of information through various media, including information on preparation for daily life, such as hand washing and gargling, responses to people suspected of infection, and daily necessities such as masks and toilet paper.
The Office of Public Relations under the Minister’s Secretariat of the Cabinet Office produced a PR video that summarized measures that individuals could take in preparation for novel coronavirus infections and has been televising it since last month. The same video has been distributed through the government’s Internet TV.
MIC has today requested industrial associations related to digital signage to distribute this PR video as much as possible in the digital signage systems managed by each member company, as shown in the attached sheet.
