March 23, 2020 Provision of Government Support System Information and Search Services for Businesses Conducting New Coronavirus Infection Countermeasures Provided by Administrative Agencies

The IT Strategic Headquarters of the Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), as new coronavirus infection countermeasures, ministries and local governments will start providing a search service to enable unified searches for different types of support information being provided for businesses. Information from support systems provided by the national government will be entered in stages, and as soon as this has been prepared, then the search service will be expanded to include information, in stages, from the support systems of local governments.

The government is united in conducting economic measures against the new coronavirus, and has already provided a variety of support systems for citizens and businesses. In order to achieve the objectives of the support systems, it is important to provide the necessary users with easy-to-find support system information, provide easy-to-understand documentation, restore the flow of daily lives and work through their utilization.
To achieve this,, and from the point of view of the user, an environmental improvement is needed to enable centralized access to cross-organizational information from government ministries, prefectural governments and cities, towns and villages.
As such, the IT Strategic Headquarters of the Cabinet Secretariat, MIC and METI, will standardize and consolidate data from support system information provided by each ministry and agency, and open up the data.
