Technical requirements for using mobile phones installed in unmanned aircraft (drones, etc.) flying overhead as part of technical requirements for new-generation mobile communications systems

The New-generation Mobile Communications System Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: Hiroyuki Morikawa, Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo) of the Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council, made an appeal for opinions from Tuesday, January 28, through to Wednesday, February 26, 2020, on a draft report of the New-generation Mobile Communications System Subcommittee.
As a result, 10 opinions were received.

2. Future plans

The Department on Information and Communications Technology (chaired by Shojiro Nishio, President of Osaka University) of the Information and Communications Council will deliberate the matter in its next meeting with consideration for the results of the appeal for opinions.
