March 31, 2020 Decision to Grant Subsidies for Project for Promoting Fiber Optic Conversion of Cable TV Networks for Disaster Resistance Enhancement under FY2019 Supplementary Budget
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), in view of the valued opinion of external experts regarding granting subsidies for a Project for Promoting Fiber Optic Conversion of Cable TV Networks for Disaster Resistance Enhancement under a FY2019 supplementary budget, has determined the following:
1. Project overview
This project is intended to assist in part of the maintenance costs for enhancing disaster resistance by using optical cables for the networks of cable TV operators in order to ensure that networks are resilient to damage, and to ensure reliable and stable information transmissions in the event of a disaster.
2. Subsidies granted
MIC has decided to grant subsidies to the following 11 applicants based on an evaluation by external experts.
