Decision on Subsidizing Businesses (Implementing Organizations) Pertaining to Development Project for Expansion of Broadcast Contents Overseas (Multi-operator Model)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided on the businesses to be subsidized (implementing organizations) pertaining to a Development Project for Expansion of Broadcast Contents Overseas (multi-operator model) under the 2019 supplementary budget.

1. Project objectives

Private business operators, etc., through tie-ins with other private business operators, produce content to market Japan, broadcast this content overseas and engage in business projects connected to broadcasting. By measuring the results of these effects, this project has the objective of promoting information dissemination, which contributes to increases in number of tourists coming from abroad, and expanding markets for local economies, as well as enhancing the international competitiveness of Japanese industries and adding to the reinvigoration of regional economies.
At this time, MIC has determined that the following businesses (implementing organization) will be subsidized.

2. Subsidizing Businesses (Implementing Organizations)

Following applications for businesses to be subsidized (implementing organizations) that took place from February 14 to March 5, 2020, MIC has determined that the following business will be subject to subsidies.
