April 3, 2020 Results on Appeal for Opinions on Draft Ministerial Ordinance for Partial Revision of Ordinance Concerning Technical Standard Conformity Certification of Specified Radio Equipment

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made an appeal for opinions from Wednesday, February 19 through Thursday, March 19, 2020, on a draft ministerial ordinance for the partial revision of the Ordinance Concerning Technical Standard Conformity Certification of Specified Radio Equipment (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 37 of 1981). As a result, MIC received three opinions. Accordingly, MIC has decided to open the submitted opinions to the public, along with MIC’s views on the opinions.

1. Background and overview of institutional development

With consideration of the additional proposals of the fiscal 2019 follow-up meeting of a growth strategy roundtable meeting on the effective use of radio waves obtained in December 2019, this ministerial ordinance for the partial revision of the Ordinance Concerning Technical Standard Conformity Certification of Specified Radio Equipment aims to make changes to work design documents submitted by applicants applying for the screening of technical standard conformity certification at registration certification bodies.

2. Result of appeal for opinions

MIC made an appeal for opinions from Wednesday, February 19 through Thursday, March 19, 2020, on a draft ministerial ordinance for the partial revision of the Ordinance Concerning Technical Standard Conformity Certification of Specified Radio Equipment. As a result, MIC received three opinions.
