April 10, 2020 Public Appeal for Proposals concerning Project on Regional Cable TV Network Development based on FY2020 Initial Budgets

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has decided to make an appeal for proposals for a project on regional cable TV network development as specified in the attached public appeal guidelines.

1. Applicable project

Project on Regional Cable TV Network Development based on FY2020 Initial Budgets for “Subsidy Guidelines on Projects to Support the Development of Broadcasting Networks”

1. Implementing entities

Municipalities (including cooperative entities of some administrative associations, and regional federations, and municipalities) and third sector corporations

2. Project description

Article 3 (2) of the Subsidy Guidelines on Projects to Support the Development of Broadcasting Networks (hereafter referred to as “the SubsidyGuidelines”).

3. Method of submitting proposals

1. Period of submission

From Friday, April 10, 2020 to no later than noon on Friday, May 8, 2020.

2. Method of application

After preparing the documents under the Subsidy Guidelines (refer to 5. How to obtain references), bring or mail one original, a copy, and a set of electronic media (e.g., a CD-R), to the competent Regional Bureau of Telecommunications (the Okinawa Office of Telecommunications in the case of Okinawa).

5. How to obtain references

MIC will make them available for viewing and obtaining copies at the MIC’s Regional Broadcasting Office, Satellite and Regional Broadcasting Division, Information and Communications Bureau (the 11th floor of the Second Building of the Central Common Government Office).
