April 17, 2020 Commencement of Acceptance of Applications for FY2020 Project to Dispatch Regional Computerization Advisors

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has commissioned 207 experts as Regional Computerization Advisors for FY2020. Accordingly, MIC started accepting applications today for requesting the dispatch of Regional Computerization Advisors under the Dispatch System of Regional Computerization Advisors.

1. Dispatch System of Regional Computerization Advisors

MIC has been implementing a project since FY2007 to commission experts as Regional Computerization Advisors (hereafter “Advisors), who are familiar with solving regional issues using information and communications technology (ICT) and data utilization, and to dispatch them to regional areas to give advice on ICT utilization at the request of local governments.

2. Acceptance of dispatch applications

MIC will start accepting FY2020 applications for the dispatch of Advisors. As usual, MIC will set multiple application deadlines to accept dispatch applications and decide on their dispatch after screening. The application deadlines currently decided are specified below. If you are the person in charge of a local government, consider actively using this system.
With consideration of the spread of novel coronavirus disease, Advisors will only provide support through online meetings for the time being. MIC will announce the resumption of the local dispatch on MIC’s website at the proper time.

• Deadline for the 1st application: By 3 pm on Thursday, April 30
• Deadline for the 2nd application: By 3 pm on Friday, May 29
• Deadline for the 3rd application: By 3 pm on Tuesday, June 30
• Deadline for the 4th application: By 3 pm on Friday, July 31
• Deadline for the 5th application: By 3 pm on Monday, August 31
• Deadline for the 6th application: By 3 pm on Wednesday, September 30
• Deadline for the 7th application: By 3 pm on Friday, October 30
• Deadline for the 8th application: By 3 pm on Monday, November 30
• Deadline for the 9th application: By 3 pm on Monday, December 28

  As soon as the total amount of expenses related to dispatch reaches the upper limit of the budget, MIC may not accept further applications.
