May 1, 2020 WiCON 2019―Announcement of Internal Affairs and Communications Minister’s Prize Winner

  To develop young human resources in the IoT field and promote the utilization and application of IoT technology while attempting to make effective use of radio waves, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) holds a KOSEN Wireless IoT CONntest (technical college Wireless IoT contents, WiCON for short) every year, and grants awards to proposals for outstanding results.
  Recently, MIC has selected a proposal with the best results at the contest in fiscal 2019 and decided to grant the Internal Affairs and Communications Minister’s Prize.

1. Overview

MIC holds the WiCON to develop young human resources in the IoT field and promote the utilization and application of IoT technology while attempting to make effective use of radio waves.
Recently, MIC has selected a proposal with the best results from ten candidate proposals submitted to the contest of fiscal 2019 after they were screened by experts, and decided to grant the Internal Affairs and Communications Minister’s Prize.

2. Results of screening

The results of the screening by the WiCON Technical Committee (Chaired by Hiroyuki Morikawa, Professor at the University of Tokyo) are as follows:
