May 14, 2020 Extending the Application Period of WiCON2020

  The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) was making a public appeal as shown below for a KOSEN Wireless IoT CONntest (technical college wireless IoT contest, WiCON for short) through the Administrative Secretariat. In consideration of the extension of the declaration of the state of emergency due to the spread of novel coronavirus infection, MIC has decided to extend the deadline for the application period from Friday, May 22, 2020, to Monday, June 22, 2020, to secure a period for preparing application documents.
  As always, MIC looks forward to receiving applications.

1. Overview

WiCON2020 aims to solve local issues and create new services by employing wireless IoT and 5th generation mobile communication systems that utilize the technical capabilities and creative ideas of students in technical colleges that educate human resources with advanced technology while closely connecting to the region.
Accordingly, the Administrative Secretariat of WiCON2020 will make a public appeal for proposals for the contest of technical college demonstrations of wireless IoT technology.

2. Appeal for proposals

The appeal for proposals targeting for technical college students will be made from Friday, April 3 until 6:00 pm to Monday, June 22, 2020, for WiCON2020.
