May 20, 2020 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report from Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee

Technical requirements for upgrading digital cordless telephone radio stations as part of technical requirements for upgrading low-power wireless communications systems

  Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: Makoto Ando, Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School of Science and Engineering), Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council, made an appeal for opinions from Friday, March 20 through Monday, April 20, 2020, on its draft report on technical requirements for upgrading digital cordless telephone radio stations as part of technical requirements for upgrading low-power wireless communications systems. As a result, nine opinions were received.    
  Accordingly, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has decided to open the submitted opinions to the public, along with the view of the Land Radiocommunication subcommittee on the opinions.

2 Future plans

With consideration of the result of the appeal for opinions, the Department on Information and Communications Technology (chaired by Shojiro Nishio, President of Osaka University) of the Information and Communications Council will deliberate on the report.
