Ideal state of new information and communications technology strategy
The Subcommittee on Technology Strategy (Chief Investigator: Hitoshi Aida, Professor at the School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo) under the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council has been studying the ideal state of new information and communications technology strategy since January 2015.
Recently, the Subcommittee drafted the fourth interim report, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will make an appeal for opinions on the draft from Saturday, May 23 through Monday, June 22, 2020.

2. Overview
The Subcommittee on Technology Strategy under the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council has been studying the ideal state of new information and communications technology strategy since January 2015.
Recently, the Subcommittee drafted the fourth interim report as a result of its study in the past, and MIC has decided to make an appeal for opinions on the draft from Saturday, May 23 through Monday, June 22, 2020.
3. Procedure of appeal for opinions
MIC will post references for this appeal for opinions on the public comment page of the e-Gov (https://www.e-gov.go.jp ) tomorrow (Saturday,May 23).
4. Submission deadline
No later than Monday, June 22, 2020 (Submission of opinions by mail must also arrive no later than the deadline date.)
5. Future plans
The final fourth interim report will be compiled with consideration of the results of the appeal for opinions.
