May 29, 2020 Appeal for Regional Public Entities Supported under FY2020 Project to Promote Planning and Promotion Structure Building for Regional IoT Implementation Organizing (Regional IoT Implementation Type)
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make an appeal from today through July 3, 2020, for regional public entities supported under a project to promote planning and promotion structure building for regional IoT implementation organizing.
1. Project overview
1. Project purpose and contents
The project to promote planning and promotion structure building for regional IoT implementation organizing (regional IoT implementation type) provides support to local public entities for the resolution of specific regional issues by introducing information and communications technology (ICT), e.g., the IoT. So far, such local public entities’ efforts are not making progress due to a lack of sufficient knowledge and know-how. In particular, the project will assist them in formulating plans and the construction of promotion systems for the introduction of regional ICT/IoT and organizing and publishing the results and know-how obtained through the support.
MIC expects that the plans formulated through this project can be actively utilized in the future for various purposes. These purposes include the implementation of local independent projects of target supported organizations, formulation of data utilization promotion plans of the municipal and private sectors, and applications for various subsidy projects.
