June 1, 2020 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report of Satellite Communications System Subcommittee

Technical requirements for Ku-band non-geostationary satellite communications systems by satellite constellation using a 1200 km altitude polar orbit as part of technical requirements for mobile satellite communications systems using non-geostationary satellite

  The Satellite Communications System Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: Makoto Ando, Professor emeritus of Tokyo Institute of Technology), Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council, made an appeal for opinions from Thursday, February 27 to Friday, March 27, 2020. This appeal was for a report drafted by the Satellite Communications System Subcommittee on technical requirements for Ku-band non-geostationary satellite communications systems by satellite constellation using a 1200 km altitude polar orbit as part of technical requirements for mobile satellite communications systems using non-geostationary satellite.
  As a result, four opinions were submitted, and the Satellite Communications System Subcommittee has decided to open the opinion to the public, along with the Satellite Communications System Subcommittee’s view on the opinions.
