July 14, 2020 Accreditations of Handling of Electronic Power of Attorney

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) granted accreditations of the competent ministers (Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications and Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry) prescribed in Article 5, paragraph 1 of the Act on Promotion of Dissemination of Electronic Power of Attorney (Act No. 64 of 2017) to Cyberlinks Co., Ltd. (headed by Tsuneo Murakami, President). In this connection, a ceremony to deliver the accreditations was held.

1. Background

Cyberlinks Co., Ltd. applied for the accreditations of the handling of electronic power of attorney.
As a result of a review by MIC and METI, the application content of the company satisfied the criteria for accreditations, and MIC and METI approved the company’s handling of electronic power of attorney.

2. Accredited business operator handling electronic power of attorney

MIC and METI have today approved the business operator’s handling of electronic power of attorney, as specified below.
The company has become the first company accredited for the handling of electronic power of attorney of delegate record file type and operator record file type.
