July 14, 2020 Results of Appeal for Opinions on Fourth Draft Report from the Subcommittee on Technology Strategy
Ideal state of new information and communications technology strategy
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications made an appeal for opinions from Saturday, May 23 through Monday, June 22, 2020, on a draft of the fourth interim report of the Subcommittee on Technology Strategy (Chief Investigator: Hitoshi Aida, Professor at the School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo) under the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council. This report was on the ideal state of new information and communications technology strategy in response to inquiry number 22 of December 18, 2014.
As a result, 26 opinions were submitted. Accordingly, MIC has decided to open the submitted opinions to the public along with the Subcommittee’s views on the opinions.

With consideration of the result of the appeal for opinions, the Department on Information and Communications Technology (chaired by Shojiro Nishio, President of Osaka University) under the Information and Communications Council will deliberate this matter at its next meeting.
