August 4, 2020 Release of FY2020 Report on Current Status of Information and Communications (2020 WHITE PAPER Information and Communications in Japan)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has today released the Fiscal 2020 Report on Current Status of Information and Communications (2020 WHITE PAPER Information and Communications in Japan).

MIC publishes the Report on Current Status of Information and Communications (WHITE PAPER Information and Communications in Japan) every year to gain the public’s understanding of the state of information and communications and trends in Japan’s information and communications policies. This release is the 48th release since the first release in 1973.
The white paper features “Digital Transformation and New Lifestyles Promoted by 5G”. This theme looks forward to new lifestyles and ways of work through ICT, along with corporate activities and online-based decentralized societies that are progressing as a result of novel coronavirus pandemic.
