August 19, 2020 Decision on Granting Subsidy for Project to Support Development of Broadcasting Networks (Development of Alternative Transmission Systems for Disaster Information as Part of Project on Development of Disaster Information Broadcasting/Transmission Systems)

Concerning the Project to Support Development of Broadcasting Networks (Development of Alternative Transmission Systems for Disaster Information as Part of Project on Development of Disaster Information Broadcasting/Transmission Systems based on FY2020 initial budgets, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has selected the subsidy recipient as specified below with consideration of the results of evaluation made by external experts.

1. Project overview

This project subsidizes a part of the equipment installation costs for community broadcasting, such as those for automatic reading devices that immediately provide essential information, including disaster information and evacuation information, provided by municipalities.
