September 7, 2020 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Ministerial Ordinances for Partially Revising Institutions, including Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineer

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made an appeal for opinions from June 4 through July 3, 2020, on draft ministerial ordinances that will partially revise telecommunications-related institutions, including the Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineer.

1. Revision overview

With consideration of a partial report* from the Information and Communications Council, MIC decided to partially revise the Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineer (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 27 of 1985), Rules for Installation Technician (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 28 of 1985), and relevant telecommunications-related rules.

2. Result of appeal for opinions

MIC made an appeal for opinions from June 4 through July 3, 2020, on the draft ministerial ordinances that will partially revise telecommunications-related institutions, including the Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineer, and MIC received nine opinions.

3. Promulgation

The Ministerial Ordinance for the Partial Revision of the Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineer has been promulgated today.
