September 16, 2020 Decision on Granting Subsidy for Project to Support Development of Broadcasting Networks (Development of Alternative Transmission Systems for Disaster Information as Part of Project on Development of Disaster Information Broadcasting/Transmission Systems)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has selected the subsidy recipient as specified below, considering external experts’ evaluation results. This decision is for the Project to Support Development of Broadcasting Networks (Development of Alternative Transmission Systems for Disaster Information as Part of Project on Development of Disaster Information Broadcasting/Transmission Systems) based on FY2020 initial budgets.

1. Project overview

This project subsidizes part of the maintenance cost of a wideband wireless system owned by a third sector corporation to secure alternative means of information transmission and strengthen the system’s disaster resistance even if the cable network stops due to disconnection.
