September 30, 2020 Appeal for Target Organizations related to Support for Local 5G Introduction Planning
To promote studies on utilizing local 5G, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) gives support for companies and organizations planning to introduce local 5G. In this connection, MIC will make several appeals in sequence for target companies and organizations.
MIC is promoting efforts toward the introduction of local 5G, which allows various entities, such as companies and local governments, to build their 5G systems flexibly according to their individual needs. For the introduction of local 5G, the introducer must understand the features of local 5G sufficiently and study various matters. Such matters include the clarification of specific utilization methods of local 5G for problem solutions, the background and the purpose of introducing local 5G to each company or organization, what you are aiming for after the introduction, and the implementation items and schedule for the introduction of local 5G. Therefore, in this project, MIC will support companies and other organizations’ study on planning the introduction of local 5G.
2. Supported organizations
