January 29, 2021 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report of Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: Makoto Ando, Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School of Science and Engineering), Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council, has been studying technical requirements relating to the upgrading of the effective use of 60 GHz band radio equipment within technical requirements for the upgrading of low-power wireless communications systems (inquiry number 2009, dated September 30, 2002) since July 2020.
Recently, the Subcommittee drafted a report concerning its study, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make an appeal for opinions on the draft from Saturday, January 30 through Monday, March 1, 2020.

2. Overview

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee, Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council, has been studying technical requirements relating to upgrading the effective use of 60 GHz band radio equipment within technical requirements for upgrading low-power wireless communications systems since July 2020. Recently, the Subcommittee drafted a report concerning its study, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make an appeal for opinions on the draft from Saturday, January 30 through Monday, March 1, 2020.

3. Submission deadline

No later than Monday, March 1, 2021 (Opinions, if submitted by mail, must arrive no later than the same day.)

4. Future plans

A final report will be completed considering the results of the appeal for opinions.
