January 29, 2021 Public Appeal of Proposals for Beyond 5G R & D Promotion Project

The National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) is now accepting applications for researchers involved in a Beyond 5G R & D promotion project.

1. Purpose

NICT will conduct open-call research and development with private companies and universities on the elemental technologies necessary for the realization of Beyond 5G, the next-generation information and communication technology that is expected to become the foundation of all industries and societies in the 2030s. Accordingly, NITC aims to strengthen Japan’s international competitiveness by reflecting the results of R & D in international standards.

2. Content of public appeal

NICT has decided to make a public appeal for researchers involved in the Beyond 5G R & D promotion project for the following period.
Period of public appeal: From Friday, January 29 through noon on Monday, February 22, 2021
