January 29, 2021 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report of the Subcommittee on Electromagnetic Environment for Radio-wave Utilization

Technical conditions related to the measurement and calculation methods of the intensity of radio waves emitted from new wireless systems, such as underground base stations

The Subcommittee on Electromagnetic Environment for Radio-wave Utilization (Chief investigator: Taki Masao, Professor emeritus of Tokyo Metropolitan University) of the Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council has been researching and studying technical conditions related to the measurement and calculation methods of the intensity of radio waves emitted from new wireless systems, such as underground base stations (Inquiry No. 2045 of January 21, 2020) since January 2020.
Recently, the Subcommittee has summarized a draft of its report, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will make an appeal for opinions on the draft report from Saturday, January 30 through Monday, March 1, 2021, as specified below.
