October 8, 2021 Public Appeal for Information Dissemination Entities (e.g., Local Governments) for Survey Project on Regional Information Dissemination Using Visual Content

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will make a public appeal for information dissemination entities (e.g., local governments) for a survey project on regional information dissemination using video content.

1. Purpose of the survey project

MIC has been promoting the overseas development of broadcasting content to revitalize regional economies and strengthen soft power. As a result of subsidized projects and other initiatives, the collaboration (co-production) of local stations and overseas broadcasters is in progress.
Against this backdrop, local governments have high intentions to disseminate information to overseas markets through video content. However, there are many cases where people cannot take the plunge due to issues, such as lack of connections with broadcasters and other video producers and lack of know-how in information dissemination.
In light of these issues, this survey project aims to produce and disseminate video content by matching local governments and other information dissemination entities with local stations, other content producers, and disseminators, thus verifying effective dissemination methods through broadcasting and video distribution.
This year, MIC has decided to make this public appeal for information dissemination entities (local governments) that wish to participate in this research project.
