November 2, 2021 Holding a Study Group on the Ideal Broadcasting System in the Digital Age

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold a Study Group on the Ideal Broadcasting System in the Digital Age.

1. Background and purpose

With the spread of broadband infrastructure and the diversification of devices, such as smartphones, digitalization is rapidly advancing throughout society. Against this backdrop, the Study Group on the Ideal Broadcasting System in the Digital Age will conduct studies from a medium- to long-term perspective. The members of the study group will discuss the future of broadcasting and the ideal broadcasting system. For this purpose, they will consider “the Regulatory Reform Implementation Plan” and“Proposals from the Young for Information and Communications Administration” (issued on September 3, 2021, by the Young Reform Proposal Team for the information and communications administration).

  • Future vision of broadcasting network infrastructure
  • Ideal Internet distribution of broadcasting content
  • Ideal broadcasting system in the digital age

3. Schedule

The first meeting will be held in November 2021, and successive meetings will be held sequentially after that.
