November 10, 2021 Telework Days’ Special Event Holding an event to think about the post-Corona way of working, Japanese-style telework

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), the Cabinet Secretariat, and the Cabinet Office, in collaboration with related ministries and organizations, started conducting Telework Days (a campaign calling for the intensive implementation of telework during the summer months) in 2017. This campaign aimed to ease congestion during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games and promote telework nationwide.
When the Tokyo 2020 Games were held this year, approximately 940,000 people from 1,531 organizations participated in Telework Days 2021 from Monday, July 19 through Sunday, September 5.
To further promote and establish telework in the future, Telework Days’ special event will be held as described below, featuring a report on the results of this year’s Telework Days and a talk session on the future of telework.
