November 10, 2021 Receipt of Serious Accident Report from NTT Docomo Inc.
Today, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) received a serious accident report from NTT Docomo, Inc. (headed by II Motoyuki, President and Chief Executive Officer). This report was made under Article 28 of the Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1984) concerning a communications failure in mobile phone services on Thursday, October 14 of this year.
1. Background
On Thursday, October 14 of this year, NTT Docomo, Inc. experienced a communications failure with its mobile phone services.
Today, the company submitted a serious incident report on the said failure following Article 28 of the Telecommunications Business Act, and MIC received it.
2. Future plans
The MIC will examine the contents of the said report and consider necessary measures.
