November 16, 2021 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report of Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: ANDO Makoto, professor emeritus, Tokyo Institute of Technology) of the Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council has been studying technical requirements relating to the introduction of 5.2 GHz band in-vehicle wireless LANs under technical requirements for the advanced use of wireless LAN systems within the technical requirements for the upgrading of low-power wireless communications systems (inquiry number 2009, dated September 30, 2002) since March 2021.
Recently, the Subcommittee drafted a report concerning its study, and MIC will make an appeal for opinions on the draft from Wednesday, November 17 through Thursday, December 16, 2021.

2. Overview

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee of the Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council held its 67th meeting by email from Thursday, October 14 through Thursday, October 21, 2021. The Subcommittee summarized the study results on the technical requirements for introducing the 5.2 GHz band in-vehicle wireless LAN as a draft report. Accordingly, MIC has decided to make an appeal for opinions on the draft from Wednesday, November 17 through Thursday, December 16, 2021.

(Opinions by postal mail reaching after the deadline date will be accepted if postmarked on or before the deadline date.)
