November 26, 2021 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report from the Subcommittee on Electromagnetic Environment for Radio-wave Utilization

Technical requirements for “Radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus—Ancillary equipment—Conducted disturbances,” “Methods of measurement of disturbances and immunity—Conducted disturbance measurements,” and “Methods of measurement of disturbances and immunity—Radiated disturbance measurements” as CISPR standards

The Subcommittee on Electromagnetic Environment for Radio-wave Utilization (Chief investigator: TAKI Masao, special leading professor at the Faculty of Systems Design and professor emeritus, Tokyo Metropolitan University) of the Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council has recently drafted a report. This draft report is on the technical requirements for “Radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus—Ancillary equipment—Conducted disturbances,” “Methods of measurement of disturbances and immunity—Conducted disturbance measurements,” and “Methods of measurement of disturbances and immunity—Radiated disturbance measurements” as standards of Le Comité International Spécial des Perturbations Radioélectriques (CISPR; English: The International Special Committee on Radio Interference). Accordingly, an appeal for opinions will be made on the draft report from Saturday, November 27 through Monday, December 27, 2021, in the procedure specified below.

2. Overview

Under the Information and Communications Council, the Subcommittee on Electromagnetic Environment for Radio-wave Utilization of the Department on Information and Communications Technology examined auxiliary equipment for measuring conducted disturbances and measurement methods for conducted disturbances and radiated disturbances.
The Subcommittee on Electromagnetic Environment for Radio-wave Utilization held its 50th email conference from Tuesday, October 12 through Thursday, November 4, 2021. There, it drafted a report as a result of its study under the title of Draft Report of the Subcommittee on Electromagnetic Environment for Radio-wave Utilization. This draft report is on the technical requirements for “Radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus—Ancillary equipment—Conducted disturbances,” “Methods of measurement of disturbances and immunity—Conducted disturbance measurements,” and “Methods of measurement of disturbances and immunity—Radiated disturbance measurements” as CISPR standards. Accordingly, the appeal for opinions on the draft report will be made from Saturday, November 27 through Monday, December 27, 2021, in the procedure specified below.
