December 3, 2021 Approval for Change of Interconnection Agreements related to Category I Designated Telecommunications Facilities of NTT East and NTT West (Addition of Interconnection Menu, including Menu Item related to Subscriber Optical Fiber Lines)

Report from Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council

Today, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has received a report from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council in response to the MIC’s inquiry (No. 3142 of September 24, 2021). The report was issued on the change of interconnection agreements related to the category I designated telecommunications facilities of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (including the addition of an interconnection menu item for subscriber optical fiber lines).
Considering the report, MIC will promptly approve the change of interconnection agreements.

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation applied for approval to change their interconnection agreements to add a new interconnection menu item (for the connection of specified optical signal terminal lines) for subscriber optical fiber lines.
