December 8, 2021 Results of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report on Ideal State of Telecommunications Number System to Create Diversified Services in Digital Society

The Telecommunications Business Policy Committee (chaired by MORIKAWA Hiroyuki, Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo) of the Information and Communications Council drafted a report recently. This report was drafted in response to inquiry No. 1232, dated May 19, 2021, on the ideal state of the telecommunications number system to create diversified services in the digital society. In this connection, an appeal for opinions on the draft was made from Friday, October 8 through Monday, November 8, 2021.
As a result, 11 opinions were submitted. Accordingly, MIC has decided to open the submitted opinions to the public, along with the views of the Telecommunications Business Policy Committee on the submitted opinions.
