February 9, 2021 Results of Talks between Mr. Shintani, State Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, and H.E. Mr. Faria, Minister of Communications of the Federal Republic of Brazil

Mr. SHINTANI Masayoshi, State Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, held talks today with H.E. Mr. Fábio Salustino Mesquita de Faria, Minister of Communications of the Federal Republic of Brazil, who is now visiting Japan. They exchanged opinions on Japan’s cooperation with Brazil in the ICT and digital field. At the same time, they agreed to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Japan and Brazil further.

On Tuesday, February 9, Mr. SHINTANI Masayoshi, State Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, held talks with H.E. Mr. Faria, Minister of Communications of the Federal Republic of Brazil, who is now visiting Europe and Asia.
Both sides exchanged views on the efforts and collaboration directions of both countries in the ICT and digital field, including the 5th generation mobile communications system (5G). At the same time, they agreed to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two countries further in the future.
