February 10, 2021 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report of Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: Makoto Ando, professor emeritus, Tokyo Institute of Technology), Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council, drafted a report on technical requirements for technical conditions for the sophistication of fixed communication systems on 11/15/18 GHz bands as part of technical requirements for the upgrading of commercial and official Land Radiocommunications (Inquiry No. 2033 of May 17, 2013).
Recently, the Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee drafted a report. Accordingly, MIC will make an appeal for opinions on the draft from Thursday, February 11 through Friday, March 12, 2021.

2. Overview

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee of the Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council started deliberating technical requirements for technical conditions to sophisticate fixed communication systems on 11/15/18 GHz bands since September 2020. These technical requirements are a part of upgrading commercial and official Land Radiocommunications (Inquiry No. 2033 of May 17, 2013). In this connection, the Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee drafted a report on the result of its deliberation in the past. Accordingly, MIC will make an appeal for opinions from Thursday, February 11 through Friday, March 12, 2021, on the draft report.

From Thursday, February 11 and no later than Friday, March 12, 2021.
(Opinions by postal mail reaching after the deadline date will be accepted if postmarked on or before the deadline date.)

A final report will be compiled based on the results of the appeal for opinions.
